Why OpenID is going to be sick!

OpenID is a system which allows you to use the same username and password across multiple sites. Each site is authenticated, but you always use the same username and password. Off the top of my head, I can list 15 sites I am registered at, and I am probably officially registered at over a 100. Some require numbers in the password, some require 8 numbers, some 10, some of my usual usernames are already taken.... the list goes on.

So with the OpenID system, it makes your life a shit-load easier. The other huge advantage to a single login for the net is all the cross linking that will be created. My friends on Facebook will be able to easily find my blog and people who I talk to via another website will be able to talk to me.

In simpler terms: Individuals who use the internet will no longer be a series disconnected usernames and passwords, but will become people.
