Tipjoy is founded on the principles of making it easy for people to leave tips for things they love online. By using tipjoy, you are agreeing to our terms of service.

Tipjoy can not be used to transfer money from one individual to another. Any money a user puts into our system can only be withdrawn once the amount in a user's account is over the $5 minimum after applicable fees have been removed, and can only be withdrawn in the form of a gift card or a donation to an official charity.

Your tipping history is public by default. You may change this anytime in your Account Settings.

Tips cannot be refunded or otherwise modified once given, regardless whether or not the person/account/email address/URL/website receiving the tip has a tipjoy account. In the event that an item receiving tips has accumulated an amount over a certain threshold, we will attempt to contact the owner of that content and encourage them to sign up with tipjoy to claim their tips, but we cannot guarantee that they will claim their tip(s).

If we deem your account as one which puts spam into our system, we reserve the right to fine your account, and/or cancel your account, and/or remove your tips from our system. In all cases, tips will not be refunded.
